How It All Started: Appalachian Buffaloes didn't begin in a corporate boardroom—it started in a classroom. We are a group of college students who were brought together by a shared project, but we quickly realized we shared something much deeper: our faith and a desire to make a tangible impact.
What began as an assignment to build a business grew into a calling. As we brainstormed, we kept coming back to the same gap in the market—the need for modern, meaningful gifts that help believers express their devotion in everyday life. We decided then that we weren't just building a grade; we were building a community. From late-night study sessions to long hours spent sourcing the perfect items, every step has been a leap of faith for our team.
Why Appalachian Buffaloes: Our name is a tribute to the place we call home and the community that shaped us. Nestled in the heart of Tennessee's Appalachian Mountains, we wanted our brand to reflect the resilience and beauty of these ridges.
The "Buffalo" holds a special place in our hearts—not just because it’s our proud school mascot, but because of what it represents. In nature, buffalo are known for facing storms head-on rather than running away from them. As a group of college students starting this venture through one of our classes, that imagery resonated with us. We want our gifts to provide that same kind of strength and encouragement to fellow believers as they navigate their own seasons of life.
